Easter was fun fun fun! This Easter the Ortons from Missoula came to visit and we had a mountain of fun. They arrived on Thursday night not long before bed. We moved Grace's single bed into Luke's room so that Sophie could sleep in there and they were super stoked to be doing that. On Friday Sara and I headed to Grandma Marg's for our Easter tradition of painting eggs Ukranian style and having tuna chip casserole for lunch. Painting this way is so relaxing, you could honestly do it all day. The boys took the troops to the park until nap time and them home, little ones went to bed, big ones watched a movie in Luke's room and bigger ones watched rugby and drunk some beers! On Saturday the Easter Bunny came early and the kids got easter baskets that the Bunny left at the front door,

rang the doorbell and disappeared!! then they had breakfast and headed outside while it was snowing to collect all the eggs, the snow was great cause it made the plastic filled eggs stand out more.

The men went skiing that day and the mums and troops painted easter eggs

(Noah was here for painting but he was superman, dropped his eggs in blue paint, dried them and then ate them at the little table!)and colored some fabric toys they got in their easter baskets and then in the afternoon, Ren and Matt took the troops to the pool, Sara went for a run with Grace in the chariot and I stayed home and cooked dinner, tidied up the house and made lime pie for dessert.

Sunday we all headed to easter brunch with the Medlicotts at Lizard Creek Lodge and it was AMAZING, I went up to the buffet probably 3 times, Ren was quite conservative this year, cause he only went 3 times too!

The kids had a ball and Matt took them outside for a snow fight. The Ortons headed home from there and we came home, Ren went back up skiing, Grace went for a nap, Luke went to the movies with Tom to see "How to Train your Dragon" and I did some cleaning up and resting after my extremely large brunch!

thanks for having us - we had such a great time!!! It was awesome to see you guys and the kids had a ball! The drive seemed way shorted both ways this time....we should do it more often!
