Wow its hard to believe that our baby is 2 and a toddler to boot! Grace loved having her birthday yesterday and was super excited to blow out a candle and open some presents and of course sing happy birthday which she does beautifully. I can't believe that time has passed so quickly and that she is already 2 and talking up a storm, parroting what you say, being her own person which includes doing her own things herself! She loves colouring, her dolls, playing cars with her brother, going in the buggy and walking too. She desperately wants to stay at school with her brother so we've been going to Strong Start so she feels like shes at school too. This weekend we're going to have a party when the Ortons are here. Its really special because for her 1st birthday the Masseys were with us and now for her 2nd the Ortons will be here .... start planning Masseys, you need to be back here for her 3rd!!! Here are some shots I took at lunch yesterday of our beautiful big girl, her crown is from Luke's Preschool when they found out it was her birthday she got a birthday crown, which she wore all day. Truely a girl at heart. Sometimes I don't ever want her to go past this stage and then other times I can't wait for her to be bigger so we can do more things together. But right now I'm enjoying where she is and who she is and the kindness she shows without being prompted like when she rubs her brother's back when he's crying or when she gives you the "all done" cuddle after getting dressed or having her nappy changed! Its a special time for sure, watching her incredible personality develop and her individuality come through and of course don't forget the stubborness and naughtiness which is becoming all too familiar, reminding me of a certain someone that i've heard about all my life!!
