Saturday was a great day. After hitting a couple of garage sales, we headed to the lake for the day. Our wonderful friends Jen and Joe park their camper at Sandy Shores, Newgate each summer and Jen is on the end of her 2 week break from work. We got there (it takes an hour) around lunch and headed straight into the water, Jen and Ren headed out to pick up the boat (from where they moored it while they came back into town) and drove it round to our side of the lake, picked us up and we headed out on the lake so Ren could have a wakeboard.
Luke and Grace weren't that fussed about dad being on the wakeboard and got a bit upset when he fell off but dad, however, had a great time. Being on the boat was relaxing, so relaxing in fact that Grace drifted off to sleep, her face and body soaking up the sun.
After lunch Joe arrived and so we all headed out on the boat again, Grace again drifting off to sleep and Luke, Jen and Ren got on the tube for a putt-putt ride, luke definitely did not want to go any faster .... but that sure changed when he got off and back on the boat for Jen and Ren!

and of course you can not end a day on the lake without roasting some marshmallows!
