Canada day was upon us again on July 1st, it seems like it was only yesterday since the last one. This year we headed to Prentice Park early and made our way to the pony rides first to try to lessen the time we had to wait and we were successful! Luke wanted to ride the little one and it was great, the little one was full of spunk (as they are!) and wanted to run instead of walk and it made for a bumpy ride but he loved it anyway!
Grace, well she didn't want a turn!
Then we headed for the market and the bouncey castles,
the candy floss and the balloons and then lastly was the sand pit which completely baffled me because we have one of those at home but do you think I could get them out of it .... NOPE! it was a mission. We spent nearly 4 hours hanging out at the park and some it was spent dancing to Shred Kelly, its a band here in Fernie and they are doing really well, heading out on their first summer tour this year. Sage is a member of Shred Kelly and she is also Luke's preschool teacher, nothing like a crowd of 4 year olds being your groupies! sure bought in the crowds though!!
There was this cool robot and he danced when the music played and Luke was amazed by it and tried to work how it was dancing and could it be real ....
then we made our way home to play some more in our sandpit!

Happy belated Canada Day! :o) It was our turn yesterday - July 4th. I didn't do anything though, just stayed home with the baby. Next year should be more fun when she is old enough to enjoy the fireworks! Thanks for all your lovely comments on my blog just lately :o)

Onewhero theatre has a week of one-act plays on this week.Tell "Shred kelly' you know of a good venue if they come down to N.Z. I hope your lovely weather lasts until Sept when I am a photography workshop in Nova Scotia.
