MOUNTAIN WEATHER ISSUED: Thursday December 20, 2012 09:15 MST
SYNOPSIS: Further, heavy snow is expected today and into tonight as a large Pacific frontal system continues to slowly track eastward across southern BC. The snow/snow showers should ease to a few flurries overnight. Friday morning appears dryer with a small gap between disturbances. Snow should redevelop Friday afternoon and continue through the majority of Friday night as another/smaller system pushes northeastward from coastal Oregon-Washington. Temperatures should trend milder today but an Arctic airmass pushing southward across Alberta could begin to seep west of the Continental Divide for a cooling trend again by late Friday.
FREEZING LEVEL: Possibly rising slightly above surface this afternoon, otherwise surface.
