It was based out of the Fernie Aquatic Centre with a single transition area located outside the pool on the lawn. The bike and run portions used existing roads and trails along Coal Creek.
The whole day was very professionally run, which was awesome for both parents and kids, the day started with a mandatory athlete briefing, followed by the race starting at 10am. There were 6 age categories and each age group started and finished their race before another age group started. Luke was in the 6-7 age group because his birthday falls where it does.

Luke did AWESOME! he swam, he rode his little bike with the little wheels and I think he was 4th from the back of the pack when he came in from his ride but those little legs sure made up for it in the run and he managed to come 13th of 21 kids!! He was totally pumped and had the best day.
