So after Mount Maunganui, we headed south on a road trip! First stop was Lake Tararewa and Lippyville and it was awesome. Nana and Poppa joined us at the Lippys for the night and we had a great catchup, an awesome dinner and of course a ride aboard Captain Lippy's floating lounge.
Luke who adores Captain Lippy was thrilled to be aboard and steering us home.

From there we headed to Foxton for a couple of nights to pick up Nonna for our onward journey to the South Island. Grace continued to have PJ wrapped around her little finger and she conveniently forgot that she had legs that worked so insisted that PJ carry her always!
Onwards to the South Island and to see our amazing friends the Fishburns. They own a wee deer farm just south of Picton and its so peaceful and relaxing to be sitting in their armchairs staring out at all the deer, a lot cheaper than a day spa! Luke and Grace loved it there playing with their new friends and of course hanging out with their new family pet and Nonna was pretty smitten too :)

One of my oldest and dearest friends Rachel was finally blessed with a wee beautiful miracle of her own when she delivered Chole into this world and we were lucky enough to combine our vacation with the opportunity to meet this precious bundle and see how incredibly happy Rach and Alf are and Rach has her little glint in her eye back.
From the south island we headed back to Foxton for a few more days and spend time with Nonna going to the park, eating ice cream and being taken care of and then the long dreaded 8 hour journey returning to the Farm.
