Well its that time of year, September has begun and our summer is coming to an end. Although it has its positives because Fall is my favourite time of year in Fernie, especially September, when the mornings are crisp and clear and you just want to sit out there in the peace and quiet and drink a cuppa tea. Its beautiful blue sky and 9 degrees but the sun is shining and at least outside there is peace and quiet! Of course Spook heads off to PreSchool 2 mornings a week from 9am to 11.30am WAHOOOOOOO, so that helps too!. I'm not too sad about summer ending this year because in a matter of months we will be soaking up another summer in New Zealand that will be even better than our summer here in Fernie! We haven't managed to get to the lake of late because the Fernie Childcare Society has been taking up a lot of my time but that too will be open (fingers crossed in 2 weeks) and we can all get our lives back! It also means that when the Centre opens Flossie will go on a Thursday for a full day and Spook for half a day and I can have a whole day to do stuff and get some creative juices flowing with sewing projects coming out my ears!!! Anyway Nat emailed me this shot of Mick and the kids at Loon Lake, it was the last time we were at the lake and I wanted to share it with all of you. This is who Mick and Nat are, they have no kids but they always spend time with ours, they hang out with them, play with them and talk to them. I always imagined that friends with no kids would just not enjoy spending time with friends who have kids but not Mick and Nat.
