Snow Snow Snow

Wow on November 17th it started to snow here in Fernie and by the start of November 19th we had nearly a metre in snow ..... so much snow! I don't know if it has ever snowed this much at once in all the time we've been coming here (10 years). I have this love/hate relationship with the snow; love the winter wonderland; hate the shovelling; love snowboarding; hate shovelling 3 times in 12 hours - before bed, in the morning to get the car out to take luke to school and then again when I picked him up! love the random acts of kindness when a neigbour round the road that you don't know drives past in his bobcat and does a couple of scoops for you clearing half your driveway! love that luke gets super excited every time it snows and he wants to get out there as soon as possible which sometimes means he has to put his snow suit over his pj's!!! Grace, she loves the look but not the cold! lets see back to the hate part, driving the highway on slippery surface and hoping you are not going to slide through an intersection and hit someone.
All these shots were taken at the beginning of the snow and the middle, i'll try to post some after shots!! Today was a bluebird day so that is promising
