If we were sitting down for a cuppa today, I would tell you its been quite the summer holidays! School finished and Christmas came real quick. We would chat about how we headed to Foxton Beach on Christmas Eve and spent a few days there with my side of the family enjoying good food, sunshine and lots of presents!
Once we headed back up north, we had a couple of days to unpack, wash and repack for our next trip which was to Cooks Beach .... that place is gorgeous! We had a great time swimming in the ocean, walking each day and just relaxing and hanging out with friends and family.
I forgot to tell you that we celebrated Luke's birthday there, with two pavlova's - YES TWO
One was strawberries and blueberries with a flake crumbled on top and the other one was pineapple lumps and jaffa's with flake crumbled on top and lots and lots of whipped cream! Check out the sleepyheads below, it was the way home and travelling finally got too much! Even for Luke who hardly ever sleeps in the car.
We might need another coffee, maybe a cookie ..... We spent a week up there and then headed home for a couple of days to unpack, wash and repack for our next trip which was south to Taupo. My Mum and PJ were meeting us in Taupo to take them home for a week while i went to work and then we would meet them back in 7 days to pick them up on our way to Lake Tarawera! Told you we were busy!! Part Two coming up!
