Fernie Flood Update 2013

I took the shot on the left around 6.30am on Friday morning, but Friday evening the water was raging down from right to left, you can't see the park bench in the photo on the left but its where the log is in the middle photo and then a closer shot on the right.  The water level Friday evening was gushing down about a 1/3 of the way up the garbage bin.  The middle shot is this morning around 9.30am and then a closer up shot.  Its the duck pond to the right which now has its own access into the Elk river!

This is the trail where we would enter the dike and walk along the gravel path, the river is sitting that close to the top of the dike and i took that shot at 6.30am yesterday morning.  By Friday evening i could see dirty brown waves from our dinning room window.  The river was flowing that fast, you could see it above the dike!
