The Masseys came north to spend a weekend in Canada and this time they made it! I spent the few days leading up to their long awaited visit cooking meals so that we would hopefully get to spend more time together. They arrived early evening on Friday night and you would have thought that Spook and Hori had been in each other's company all day because they just meshed as if they were one! They spent all their time together over the weekend, just hanging out and making out! Together in his room playing or reading or even watching tv snuggled up, which was awesome for us because us parents got to spend quality time drinking tea and catching up :) The first night Spook had to go downstairs to see where Hori was sleeping before he would settle into his bed for the night, he wanted to make sure she was still going to be here when he woke up! Bathtimes were a treat, all you could hear was giggles and smooching. Flossie got to spend her 1st birthday with some extended family which she loved and of course flirted and fluttered her eyelids at Richard. We had a tea party which we overcooked for (wasting valuable hanging out time!) but she loved it wearing her tiara and Spook and Hori got to help her blow out candles. We have some amazing friends here in Fernie but there is something about having the Masseys or the Ortons come and spend time with us .... its hard to put into words but they're so comfortable. Spook and Hori are so content in their friendship which is a testament to how content and happy we are to have the Masseys as our friends. Thanks for coming guys, we love you xx
